GreenAroundYou.org's mission is to support the most efficient programs in our various funding areas (reforestation, carbon reduction, clean energy research, etc., as you select when you contribute). Your funds will thus go to organizations such as the Colorado Tree Coalition for planting trees; The Nature Conservancy; grants to researchers for scientific research into promising projects that maximize energy output compared to cost of installation and operation, such as production-ready operations like Zenith Solar wind farms and promising research directions like advances in wind turbine blade design and more efficient solar cells; and the Chicago Climate Exchange for the purchase and retirement of carbon offset credits.
We also directly sponsor programs in these areas such as Cash for Cars (getting polluting cars off the road) and Sprouts with Sprouts (children planting trees).
